Project Books!

On May 13, 2011 we launched the first phase of the project, where from several personal donations and donations from publishing houses, we set up a reading room in Anantnag, Kashmir where children can read, share insights, stories and interpretations with each other, involve themselves in various creative and entertaining activities.
Here is a snippet of the children reading books and interacting with the volunteers at SSSS. Our vision is for this reading room to develop into a sustainable full-fledged library that provides a creative space for children to be able to intellectually grow and express themselves. The children under guidance and encouragement from the volunteers not only read but get involved in various creative, educational and entertaining activities.

Children in the reading room--readers and artists!
